This short trip takes in the most famous sites in
northern India. This circuit of Delhi Agra and Jaipur is often referred
to as the 'Golden Triangle' as it takes in some of the finest examples
of India's architectural and cultural heritage making it one of the
most popular India holidays. It is an ideal trip for the first-time
visitor to India wanting to see the classic sites like the Taj Mahal,
The Pink City, and the historic capital.Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal
and once the capital of the Mughal empire, has several monuments which
display the splendor of Mughal architecture. It was here that Babar,
the founder of the dynasty, had the first formal Persian garden laid
out on the banks of the river Yamuna. Akbar, his grandson, raised the
towering ramparts of the great Red Fort, within whose walls Jahangir
built rose-red palaces, courts and gardens, and which Shahajahan
embellished with marble mosques, palaces and pavilions of gem-inlaid
white marble.

Day 01 : Arrival Delhi:
Upon arrival meet to assistance drive to hotel, for rest of the night.
Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing:
After breakfast commence full day combined New and Old Delhi
sightseeing, visit Red Fort, Chadani Chowk, Rajghat (Gandhi Memorial),
Jama Masjid, Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, after lunch visit Qutab
Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tombe and Government Building as India
Gate, President House and Rajpath. Overngiht at hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi-Agra (By raod, 4-5 hrs drive):
An early breakfast, drive to Agra, en route visit Sikendra, Akbar The
Great, the greatest of all Mughal emporors is laid to rest in the midst
of a large garden about 10km away from Agra. This structure has perfect
blending of Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and Jain motifs. This
place has a row of beautiful arches and doorways those make it a
photographer's delight. Akbar started building his Mausoleum and
Jahangir, his son, completed it. Jahangir modified the structure that
contributed to the distortion of the original architectural design.
Continue drive to Agra, on arrival check in hotel, rest of the time
visit Agra Fort, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is about 2.5 km
northwest of its much more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The
fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It is
the most important fort in India. The great Mughals Babur, Humayun,
Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb lived here, and the country
was governed from here. It contained the largest state treasury and
mint. It was visited by foreign ambassadors, travelers and the highest
dignitaries who participated in the making of history in India. Rest of

Day 04 Agra-Fatehpur Sikri-Jaipur : (By road, 5-6
hrs drive):
Early in the morning visit The Monument of Love "Taj Mahal" The Taj
Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra, built by Mughal Emperor Shah
Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal (also
"the Taj") is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a
style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic
architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World
Heritage Site and was cited as "the jewel of Muslim art in India and
one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage."
While the white domed marble mausoleum is its most familiar component,
the Taj Mahal is actually an integrated complex of structures. Building
began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands
of artisans and craftsmen.The construction of the Taj Mahal was
entrusted to a board of architects under imperial supervision including
Abd ul-Karim Ma'mur Khan, Makramat Khan, and Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.
Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer. Drive
back to hotel for breakfast than proceed to Fatehpur Siri, Fatehpur
Sikri was Akbar's capital for approximately 12 years. Akbar selected
Sikri as the seat of his government believing it to be auspicious for
himself. He experimented both with architecture and art and built a
city expressing his ideals and vision. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a
deserted, phantom city. But the inner citadel is immaculately
preserved. The finest monuments within this area are the Diwan-i-Am,
Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and the tomb of Saint Sheikh
Salim Chishti, and the Jama Masjid. Later drive to Jaipur. on arrival
check in hotel for rest of the night. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Jaipur:
After breakfast full day local sightseeing, Morning visit Amer Fort, is
located 11 km north to Jaipur. This fort had been the capital of
Kachchwaha Rajputs. Later, Sawai Jai Singh changed the capital to
Jaipur. The Amber fort was one of the popular sights of attraction in
Jaipur, where the tourists can enjoy elephant rides from the bottom of
the Amber fort to the hilltop. By standing in the hill top the tourist
can see the excellent views of Maota Lake. Some of the fascinating
sightseeing inside the fort includes Raj Mahal, Suraj Pol, Diwan-I-Aam,
Ganesh Pol, Jai Mandir, Sohag Mandir, Singh Pol, Shila Mata temple, and
Palace of Man Singh I. Drive back to city visit The City Palace, The
City Palace which is a fascinating landmark. The Hawa Mahal reflects
the imposing blend of masterpiece of Rajasthan architecture. Maharaja
Sawai Jai Singh built this fascinating palace during his rule. The
architecture of the City Palace simply reflects the fine architecture
of ancient India. The City Palace has attracted many tourists
throughout the entire globe. Hawa Mahal was built by the Maharaja Sawai
Singh in 1799. The Hawa is an integral part of the city palace. It is a
fascinating landmark of Jaipur. The Hawa Mahal is a fine five-storied
building with pyramid shaped structure. The Hawa Mahal has tier after
tier of 953 fine and small casements. The main entrance to the Hawa
Mahal is through the safety door that opens into the spacious
courtyard. One can view the wonderful sunlight view in the early dawn
that comes through the lattice windows of the Hawa Mahal. This landmark
has been a center of attraction to the tourist, since time immortal and
Observatory, Jantar Mantar was a magnificent astronomical observatory
that was built by Sawai Jai Singh. Jantar Mantar was built between 1728
and 1734. Jantar Mantar is a grand astronomical instrumental place to
observe time. Rest of the time visit the Pink City. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Jaipur-Pushkar: (By road, 3-4
hrs) :
Early morning drive to Pushkar, just 11 kilometres from Ajmer comes
alive during Puskar Fair, when people from all over Rajasthan converge
at Pushkar with their cattle stock. Pushkar Fair is regarded as one of
the largest camel festivals in the world. Celebrated in the month of
October-November, Pushkar Fair attracts domestic as well as foreign
tourist to Pushkar in Rajasthan. Rest of the time visit the holy city
and Lord Braham's temple. overngiht at hotel.
Day 07 Pushkar:
Full day at Pushkar festival, is not about camels only but it is also
about horses, cows, goats, sheep and most importantly about the lively
people of Rajasthan, who come to the Pushkar fair in their best
attires. Pushkar FairThe festival looks like a riot of colors with men
wearing colourful turbans and women in pleated ghagaras (ankle-length
skirts) of different hues. The festival offers a wonderful opportunity
to see the people selling and buying camels, goats, horses etc.
Bargaining, negotiations and transactions remain order of the days
during the festival. Rest of the time free. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Pushkar-Neemrana: (By road, 4-5
hrs) :
Mroning, after breakfast drive to Neemrana is an ancient historical
town in Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is the site of 14th century
Hill-Fort ruled by Chauhans once upon a time as well as Kesroli in
Alwar district that is the oldest heritage site. Historians trace it to
the Matsya Janapada of the Mahabharata times. In Kesroli one gets to
see the oldest remains of Buddhist Vihara at Viratnagar where the
Pandavas spent the last year of their exile incognito; Pandupole, with
the only reclining statue of Hanuman; the samadhi of the ruler saint
Bhartrihari and Talavriksha with ancient water reservoirs. On arrival
at Neemrana check in hotel for rest of the night.
Day 09 Neemrana-Delhi: (By raod, 3-4 hrs
drive) :
After breakfast drive to Delhi, on arrival meet to assistace, later
visit local market, evening farwell dinner, in time drop at
International airport.
