Rajasthan is the largest
state of the Republic of India in terms of area. It encompasses most of
the area of the large, inhospitable Great Indian Desert (Thar Desert),
which has an edge paralleling the Sutlej-Indus river valley along its
border with Pakistan. The state borders Pakistan to the west, Gujarat
to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar Pradesh and
Haryana to the northeast and Punjab to the north. Rajasthan covers an
area of 132,150 sq mi or 342,269 km². The state capital is Jaipur.

Pushkar is one of the oldest cities of India, Pushkar is also known by
its great history The date of its actual founding is not known, but
legend associates Lord Brahma with its creation. According to Padam
Puran, the Hindu religious text, Lord Brahma was in search of suitable
place for a Vedic yagna and reaches to Lord Vishnu, then Lord Vishnu
solves the problem with a lotus and told that this lotus will goes to
the best place of the earth, hence leaves the lotus from his hand. In
other side Pushkar was already having the special holy affect or image
on the earth because many sadhu’s did holy yagna and tapa here so
Pushkar river attracts that lotus over itself and Brahma decided to
perform his yagna over here.
